Audiophiles End of Year Party!

You lot already know that we’re firm believers that Bristol has the best music scene in the West, if not the entire UK, but if you wanted another opinion to affirm that, then let us introduce you to our friends over at Audiophiles!

The Audiophiles boys have been hosting monthly get-togethers in Bristol for the past couple of years now, and the principle is simple – a bunch of like minded people getting together to chat about the music they love, and hopefully discover something new. Everyone’s welcome, and the music showcased covers all sorts of genres – you only have to listen to the Audiophiles pod casts to figure out they’ve got as much of a diverse taste in music as we have!

Like any good music junkies, the Audiophiles crew also know that the best way to share the music you love with everyone else is to throw a party, and that’s exactly what they’re doing on Saturday 14th December, at The Louisiana. Kicking off at 6pm, the night will be a celebration of Bristol music, and will include three floors of great local music! The line up runs a little bit like this…

  •  A top floor take over from, Seasfire, An Axe, These Colours and Evil Twin.
  • Drop down to the middle floor to throw some shapes to great dance music from Shanti Celeste and Ivor Wilson DJ sets, with live performances from The Crisis Project and Kayla Painter.
  • For a more intimate experience, huddle in with Mary Spender and Kitten & Bear plus an extra special guest to be announced soon in The Louisiana cellar.

I can personally vouch for the incredible vocal talents of Mary Spender, who I worked with on an event back in March. Not only does she have one hell of a set of lungs on her, but she’s an extremely talented guitarist and song writer, plus she’s a total babe – the whole package really!

Once the live music is over, the Audiophiles experience will continue until 2am, with the guys playing their choicest cuts from the year, as well as a few prize give aways.

So if you’re stuck for something to do on Saturday night, and you’re up for getting your ears round some ace new local music, then head down to The Louisiana and get festive with Audiophiles. Tickets are just £7 from Bristol Ticket Shop or Rise, and with that much amazing live music packed into one night, that’s a bloody bargain!
