A lifestyle blog bringing you fashion, music, food, and everything else that's just nice about Bristol and beyond!
I’m finding it increasingly difficult to think of anything other than Glastonbury right now, and with the weather looking more and more promising I’m going to be somewhere around this level of excitement once Wednesday arrives!
But whether you’re going to Glasto or not, it’s Friday, which is reason enough to celebrate, so plug yourself in and get on down to our pick of this week’s music!
Happy Friday guys!
This week Meg’s been chair dancing to…
I don’t normally choose mixes for my chair dancer (I don’t know why?!) but this is such a banger that I couldn’t not share it with you all.
I have to admit I have no idea who Lazy Flow is, or how he even turned up in my Soundcloud feed, but man, am I glad he did! This mix is proper ‘hands in the air’ party music from start to finish and I’ve listened to it twice through today, and am currently on my third time round. The track listing is mega, and whatever sort of music you’re into I can promise that this will get you wiggling.
This week Frankie’s been chair dancing to…
This week one of my most favourite people in the world, Val, turned 30 and of course she’s having a mega awesome party to celebrate which Meg and I are going to DJ at. I’ve known Val for 10 years now and most of that time has been spent dancing! There are several tracks that make me think of Val but there is one song that stands tall above all the rest and that is Freestylers’ Push Up. The ultimate Riva come Wallington party anthem (Including Miss Gaia Riva)! When Ashton Court festival was still epic I have the clearest (cider fuelled) memory of us dancing HARD to this. It’s classic break beat, super fun and kind of sounds like Prince singing- win win win.
So, in honour of Val, please stand up and “Baby, baby shake that arse”
