A lifestyle blog bringing you fashion, music, food, and everything else that's just nice about Bristol and beyond!
Hands up who’s in that weird limbo state of not knowing what day it is right now. Yep – me too. Bank holidays are great and all that (and this one was a banger!) but they don’t half mess you up for the week to come, don’t they?
That said, I can’t complain, as all of the confusion can only mean one thing – the weekend will come even quicker than usual. So let’s celebrate the short week by telling you a little bit about what’s been making it just that little bit better for us!
This Saturday Frankie and I are are helping to host the Redfest Fundraising gig, which as the name suggests, will raise money for Redfest; East Bristol’s community arts and music festival. The event will kick off from 10pm at Easton Community Centre, and will feature some of Bristol’s best musical talent. Now I promise I’m not just saying that as I’m organising it (and on the bill!) but some of the talent we have taking part is genuinely brilliant – take a look for yourselves!
You can have a listen to some of the acts below.
Entry to the gig is £3, but that’s just a suggested donation, so if you were feeling particularly tight you could come for free. All proceeds raised will help us make this year’s Redfest the biggest and best yet, so get your dancing shoes on and get ready to party, because it’s going to be a great night!
One skinny grande mocha with a shot of cherry!
Yes a shot of cherry in my mocha. Chocolate and cherry are best friends and mixed in with some coffee goodness it’s now officially my favourite hot beverage!
The wonderful place that has given me this new taste of joy is the very lovely Coffee One in Clifton. The lady serving might have given me a bit of a strange look, but I proved that this combo is delicious! Coffee One itself is regarded by the locals as one of the best coffee shops around, so if you haven’t been you really should. It always seems to be busy and it does indeed serve exceedingly good coffee, with of course, all the other cafe type treats. The perfect accompaniment to a skinny grande mocha with a shot of cherry is their very tasty caramel shortbread – it’s just nice!
