We have one very talented, organised and hard working lady in our team know as Miss Meg Pope. Although she has been busy doing her 9- whenever the work is done, writing for this blog, DJing and training for a 10k she has also been organising a charity gig to raise money and awareness of organ donation. Her cousin, Will Pope, desperately needed a heart transplant and in the 11th hour got one, thanks to an incredible organ donor. It was a pretty close call and the whole Pope family were inspired to do something to raise the awareness of becoming an organ donor. The #WillPower gig is happening tonight and you can find out about the event and get tickets here. It’s going to be mega fun, is only a fiver, drinks are £1.80 a pint (cash only) and there’s going to be loads of great music (plus Duchess are playing and some dude called Rory McGrath).
I’m flying solo today so here’s what I’m dancing to.
Two superb mixes from flight facilities which my friend JamesO passed onto a few of us and it’s fair to say we’ve all gone a bit NUTS for them. It’s looking at some awesome music and global events spanning from 1982-2002- they’ve made a bit of a game out of it where you have to say what event it is, the original sample used to make the edits and the modern day songs that use the samples . Basically just go and listen because they are so good and the span of music is incredible- i’m not playing the game because I’ve got work to do, yo.
